Five of us stayed in this lovely apartment. Two of the bedrooms have windows opening up to the river below, the other has a window opening onto the closed in courtyard. The beds and all furnishing were very comfortable. You couldn't get a better location for experience the Dordogne area near Sarlat. We awoke each morning to hot air balloons drifting along the river and traditional boats moored along the banks. In the late morning and afternoon, the river was full of canoes passing by as people cooled off in the river waters. Of course, we didn't spend much time in the apartment as we were always on the go visiting the many nearby chateaus, towns, gardens, markets and other features of the area. A trip to Font du Gaume caves is a must (get there by 9am if you want to be able to buy a ticket for that days tours) as it is unlikely they will remain open to visitors much longer. Lascaux II might be more known, but being able to see the originals was a transformative experience. Our host Christine was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. All went without a hitch. Only two small issues with this rental - the internet is variable throughout the unit (probably due to the large stone walls) and the inside bedroom can smell a bit musty at first. These were very minors issues, however, and we will definitely return the next time we visit this area.
