Amazing Property in Beautiful Normandy Countryside

                      5 of 5
This was a beautiful stone chateau with comfortable furnishings, and plenty of room for eight family members. The home and grounds were impeccably maintained, and the kitchen was completely equipped. The owner is on-site and readily available for questions and issues. The eight chateau bedrooms all had their own bathroom, most with showers, and hair dryers. Bathrobes were provided. There was a fully functional washer and dryer on site, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. We did not use the pool, but the grounds were gorgeous. There are many stairs, so might not be suitable for all, and no restaurants or shopping within walking distance. With a car, we were only ten minutes to Bayeux, and a few miles from all the sights. We used Albion Voyages for all our tours and were able to see Mont-St Michel, Honfleur, and all of the D-Day locations. Highly recommended if you want a beautiful location in the Normandy countryside.

                      Perfect place for families

                      5 of 5
After a busy week in Paris, we wanted to relax and see the D-Day sites around Normandy. The spacious cottage of this 18th century chateau was the perfect spot. Our children enjoyed running all over the grounds and playing on the swings and slide. We also had nightly Ping-Pong tournaments. None of the D-Day sites were more than 30 min from the chateau. Ms. Helen was a gracious and helpful hostess. The chateau has been in her family for generations and she is anxious to share that history while taking you on a tour of the buildings. It is a quiet, beautiful setting where our family enjoyed time together. Highly recommended for families with small or multiple children.
