Great Place - Beautiful Farm House In Normandy

              5 of 5
We stayed three nights at the farm house. Jenny and Chris were the perfect host and hostess. Our room was perfect for us and very comfortable. We decided to have two dinners with Jenny and Chris while we were there. Jenny made two typical norman french dinners and they were both delicious. We would recommend trying a dinner at the house at least once during your stay. If you are interested in the invasion and WW2 history this is the place to stay. Chris and Jenny are avid WW2 history buffs. Chris has a great collection of books and memorabilia. He is also very knowledgeable on the area and provides guided tours. My wife had a special connection with the area because her father landed on Utah Beach and spent a month in Normandy at several locations with the US Army before the breakout. Chris helped by mapping out the locations noted in her father's diary and we were able to visit almost all of the places. The farm house is centrally located to all the WW2 historic places and museums. For us, it was a very special trip. We also enjoyed spending time with Jenny and Chris. They are great people and we had a lot in common. It felt more like spending time with family. The breakfasts Jenny prepared with home made jams were a great way to start your day. We will definitely return again.

              Unbelievably fantastic!

This was a totally new experience for us. We had just completed a coach tour, rented a car, and struck out on our own. Chris and Jenny's Normandy Getaways was our first stop on a 15 day trip in France and Italy. Boy were we spoiled. The accommodations were five star all the way. The friendliness and hospitality were top notch. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would give them a 15. Their home is in the country, away from all the frantic tourist bustle, but close to all the places of interest. It is a peaceful and quiet place to relax. And Jenny's breakfasts are truly wonderful. Our stay at Normandy Getaways is certainly the brightest gem in our basket of memories.
