9th Arrondissement Opera: Luxury Vacation Rentals (3)

        Recent 9th Arrondissement Opera Reviews

        Location, location, location

        4 of 5
The location is great. Breakfast out the main door to the left. A small grocery across the street to the right. Restaurants all around. The metro and RER A entry is close by. We took both around the city including to Disney Paris. On an ambitious day we even walked to Notre Dame. This flat is in a charming converted hotel. The exterior façade was being remodeled during our stay but one can easily see that in its prime the place was lovely. After our initial arrival, it was always a coin flip – grand stairs or elevator. The flat was organized nicely but know if renting here that this is not an apartment set aside solely for rental purposes. The owner’s personal belongings could be found throughout the flat, i.e., shampoos, soaps, clothing, etc. There were towels set out but they were not dry. The pillows are flat and could stand replacing; the bedsheets could use replacing as well. There is an adequate kitchenette with a college fridge. There is a small table for a couple. The balcony was great to sit on and people watch or enjoy a glass of wine. There is a washer in the flat but not a dryer; there is a drying rack. We would recommend this flat for location alone, the amenities are adequate. A good value.

Quiet apartment in lively shopping area

        5 of 5
Our 7 night stay at 97 Rue St. Lazarre was delightful. The vibrant retail neighborhood was full of cafes and shops including Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. We wisely purchased Navigo Decouverte cards upon arriving at CDG airport and with several Metro stops within easy walking distance of our apartment we ventured to Montmarte, the Catacombs in Montparnesse and as far away as Chateau de Versailles. After a day of sightseeing we so appreciated returning to our calm air-conditioned apartment. The kitchen was well stocked with many plates, glasses and cups so we only had to use the dishwasher once. The bed and sofa bed were very comfy as were the couches and arm chairs. The bathroom was large and bath towels were soft and fluffy. Our 5th floor apartment was accessible by a speedy elevator and one small flight of stairs. The building felt very safe and secure. As a first time renter from HomeAway I was very impressed with the customer service that Glamaparis provided. Sara was very professional and accommodating. I had many questions that she quickly answered with detailed responses. The online transactions went very smoothly and we received a personal tour of the apartment at check-in. I will definitely recommend Glamaparis to my friends and colleagues considering apartment rental in Paris. Merci!
