This is a lovely apartment, but be aware it is located above a bar that could be very exuberant! We were there for Euro 2016, and the celebrations went on into the wee hours. Luckily we brought earplugs so it wasn't too bad. There was a slight backup with the shower drain, of which I notified the owner. Salvatore is a very responsive host, getting back to me well under 24 hours, sometimes even within an hour. He was available to answer any questions I had. The bed was a bit cozy for people used to a king-size bed, but it was adequate. The shower as has been noted before is a little tiny, but serviceable. Two things: put a towel on the floor to serve as a mat, as the floors are quite slippery when wet. Also, there are no shelves in the shower, so be careful bending down to retrieve something - don't hit the faucet or you may get scalded. The hot water is VERY hot, so just be aware. It was nice having a Nespresso machine for coffee in the mornings, and just nice all around to have a kitchen. The apartment is on a busy street, but it's very centrally located, and the metro is just down the street. It was very convenient to get around to the rest of the city, by bus as well as metro. It was also convenient to have the washing machine to do laundry, as we did several loads during our trip. It was a very full trip for us, and it was nice to have a place to call home to crash at as needed. Having your own space in this special city was very special indeed.
