7th arrondissement: Apartment Rentals (4)

Wonderful. Great location. Roomy. Stay there!

5 of 5
Our family of 7 stayed there for 8 nights and had a wonderful time. The apartment is close to three different metro/train stations; all within walking distance for an 8 year old. The apartment is large, 4 bedrooms give everyone some privacy and a place to rest up and recharge after sightseeing. The view from the front room windows of the Eiffel tower is great (we were lucky enough to be there for the July 14 fireworks). Good sized kitchen (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, cloths washer/dryer) made it easy to prepare meals and then eat in the dining room. A grocery store almost next door and a bar/restaurant (on the corner to the left) that sells fresh croissant and pain au accolade in the morning. Lots of good small sidewalk cafes along the street. Lots of windows made it well lit, cool, and airy. A couple of small negatives. Most of the pillows on the beds were pretty old and lumpy (by American standards). The household supplies were a little bit inconsistent. Many basics, like salt, pepper, olive oil, etc., were there (some left from previous renters i think) but some things were missing. Dish towels, but no dish washing cloth. There was dishwasher soap but no laundry soap. Nobody I know travels with laundry soap, so we had to go buy some (and leave it there). Not very many dishes, we ran the dishwasher after every meal. No corkscrew, so bring your Swiss army knife! Except for the pillows, the negatives were small and easy to overcome; minor start-up problems mostly solved by one trip to the grocery store. It was a great place. We had a wonderful time there. If you've got 6 or so people in your group you should stay there!

Nice apartment in a good area of Paris

We had good two nights in the apartment. Everything was like we wanted. The owner might want to fix the heat control in the shower.

Great place to experience the life of a parisian

5 of 5
The property is as described on the website. It's clean, well maintained, overlooking a peaceful garden. There are basic food supplies provided (coffee, tea, salt/pepper, oil..) and the kitchen is well equipped, should you decide to cook. Bertrand, the owner is genuinely interested in making his guests' stay a pleasant one. He's very responsive to any question you may have during your stay. Property is located within walking distance of two metro and RER stations, making access to Paris touristic attractions fast and easy. The apartment is in the 15th district, which is not as touristic as others: the good thing is you get to experience the life of a true parisian: a lot of great food shops are within walking distance (rue Saint Charles, rue de la convention). You can get fresh baguette from 4 nearby boulangeries and freshly squeezed orange juice from the franprix on "rue de la convention". The pedestrian Seine banks and the island "ile du cygne" where a miniature statue of liberty stands are great for a stroll or run. There is a taxi station and a beautiful mall with shops/movie theaters on the Charles Michels plaza nearby. Taxi to the airport did cost us about 60 euros. A cheaper option would be to use the RER B and RER C. Overall, I recommend this place!
