We stayed in this apartment for a week. It is tiny but accommodating. The best part of this place is the location. It is literally in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. It is very close to the metro stations and bus stops. We used the Parisien transport system throughout our stay with ease. The neighborhood is safe and friendly. We did purchase items from pattisseries, boulangeries, frommageries, the open market on Sunday (spectacular), etc. These shops were all very close.
You need to understand that the small courtyard for the apartment is formed by 3 or 4 seven-story buildings coming together towering overhead to form the courtyard. This is Parisien living. Therefore you get to see very little sky and no sun. It is quiet but also there is little air circulating. The apartment has shutters and we did use these nightly to keep the outside lights from other's apartment from keeping us awake. The "air conditioner" does circulate the interior apartment air and maintains a comfortable coolness. It was quite warm during our stay so it was a welcomed relief. The pictures and description on the site are accurate.
Philippe was welcoming and very accommodating. He did provide his phone number ahead of time but when we tried to call before our arrival we kept receiving a message that his number was not functioning. That could be a problem with our phone. However it did provide a problem when we arrived at the building as we had no contact and therefore could not get into the building. Fortunately a person living in one of the buildings came by and let us in and we located Philippe. Perhaps had he provided us with the code for the door and instructions to his apartment that would have made life less stressful. Overall we were happy with the stay and would consider returning.
