            Living among the Parisiens

            5 of 5
My husband and I, both seniors, stayed three weeks in this lovely apartment. We only wish we could have stayed 3 more. It is as advertised, quiet and peaceful. Not a sterile apartment building but a little house. Leaving your apartment and stepping out onto the Rue du Tolbiak, you are greeted by every conceivable shop. The metro, Olympiads, is two blocks away and is a wonderful line that is frequent fast and goes to all the important stations. This is very easy and wonderful living. There are few tourists in this area which makes it ideal if one wants to experience French living. Our very kind hostess, Annabel, lives next door so she was available if ever needed. The linen was very good, the towels soft and the kitchen well stocked with some starter items kindly supplied. We do not hesitate to recommend this vacation rental. It does have a flight of stairs to the bedroom which could be difficult if handicapped. Otherwise, this is a perfect vacation rental. Thank you Annabel for our lovely apartment!

Great atmosphere, lots of space--not for people with mobility issues

Our family of 10 had a great stay here. The house is wonderfully decorated, with the owner's wonderful art. The neighborhood is lively and homey, with nice pubs directly across the street. The area is like its own little village within Paris, but close to a Metro stop (there's a great little park on the way there). We also enjoyed the visits of the owner's lovely little cat--she was friendly and pretty! The terrace is wonderful, and we enjoyed eating out there (lots of shops within easy walking distance). My only reservation is I wouldn't recommend the home for anyone with mobility issues. It's on 4 floors, and the stairs are steep with short risers. Not a problem for most of us, but my parents are elderly, and we had to rearrange rooms when they arrived, as the 3rd floor (with most of the bedrooms) doesn't have a toilet. All in all, a great, artistic place to stay!
