Large, spacious room with a view over Paris, perfect for one or two people. From the balcony you can even catch a slight view of the Eiffel Tower. Private bathroom in the room with a tub and sink. I was a bit surprised to find that the toilet was not part of the bathroom but was instead in the hall outside but it worked out fine - I just took my little flashlight with me if I had to get up in the night. I was in Paris to attend an intensive French language class for the week and the proprietor, Madame Dy, was very helpful in speaking french with me at breakfast, really anytime we met. She was also very attentive to my needs - I only had to mention that I preferred something and the next day it appeared at the table. She also gave me ideas for museums and such to make my stay interesting and enjoyable. Perfect location, close to two metro stops and numerous bus stops. Walking distance to the Place de la Bastille where there are many restaurants and movie theaters. Very safe area, even as a woman alone, I felt very comfortable walking home in the evenings. Fantastic farmers market right across the street on Sunday and Thursday mornings.
