Great Place for our Family Reunion

      5 of 5
This place was very nice and felt homey. Very nicely decorated and clean. We really enjoyed our stay! The view of the little pond in the backyard is very relaxing! We had our family reunion here, there was 9 of us. We spent most of our time in the house, just visiting with each other. The living room area was perfect for us all to hang out without feeling crowded. We even all fit comfortably on the big sectional sofa! The patio was great, the covered area with the table stayed shady all day and there was a ceiling fan above, we spent a lot of time out there. It was nice having the pool/hottub right there. The game room was fun, we played pool. Its not air conditioned, but the ceiling fans definitely help keep it comfortable. Our first couple days when we would go walk around the pond there was an alligator in there that would swim up to the edge and watch us. The neighbors called the wildlife professionals who captured him. The professionals said he was too used to being fed and was considered dangerous. The capture was exciting to watch! They noosed it around the neck, and pulled it onshore. It was thrashing around until it got tired. Then one guy sat on its back and held its mouth shut while the other guy taped its mouth and legs. Once the alligator was gone, more birds came to the pond, big tall sand cranes stalked around. The neighborhood is pretty quiet at night. During the day there are 3 houses under construction, interesting to watch their progress. 2 are across the street and one is behind. We took a few strolls to the club house, swam in the big pool (which was not crowded at all!). We watched a movie in the theater, and we were the only ones there. There was a basketball court, the boys wished they brought their basketball. And there was a volleyball court in the sand. There are several ponds in the resort, be sure to watch for alligators! Armadillos also live in the area. If you want to go to Disney or other attractions, they are about 30 minutes away, depending on traffic. Shopping is about 10 to 15 minutes away. Nice vacation! The house is perfect for a family get together, nice quiet location, and lots to keep everyone entertained. We're glad we selected this house, and we would choose it again!
