Let me start by saying that if you are looking for luxury, this cottage is not for you. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay and an extremely comfortable bed to sleep in, then you have come to the right place. The cottage had everything we needed, except perhaps an electric coffee pot. A coffee press is provided, along with some coffee. I did purchase a cheap 5-cup coffee maker at a thrift shop, and it worked fine for us. According to Sarahrose, she has had the unfortunate experience of having several coffee makers go missing so she chooses to use the coffee press. No big deal if you are not as coffee addicted as I am. The location on a canal leading out to the lake was very nice. A canoe was available for us to use, but we did not take advantage of that. There was an outdoor area to use, but it was much too hot for that for us. The only hiccup we had was that the shower handle wasn't working right the second night we were there. We were only able to get cold water on, so we took cold showers. It wasn't all that bad considering that we had been walking all over town and were very hot! As soon as we made Sarahrose aware of the problem, her husband, John, came out immediately to take care of it. We had the privilege of meeting Zeus and Rosie, the two dogs that live on the property. They were truly "gentle giants" as Sarahrose mentioned to me earlier. If you are not dog people like us, no worries as they will be kept away if you let her know ahead of time that you would prefer not to have them around. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would certainly stay again if we are in the area.
