I booked Francois' home for a one night stay for myself and my family before a cruise. Booking was easy and Francois responded immediately to all my inquiries. He made his house rules very clear and reiterated that his home was not to be used for parties/gatherings out of respect for his neighbors.
The townhouse itself is absolutely GORGEOUS. It's decorated beautifully and all the art is very, very cool. My family was beyond impressed. There was more than enough room for 5 people and we had everything we needed for our stay.
Tips: *If you'll be using a lot of ice, I'd suggest buying a bag. The fridge does dispense water/ice but we used it faster than it could be made.
*The lower floor stays much cooler than the top floor. Turn on the ceiling fans as soon as you arrive to start cooling the top floor. I guess we could have cranked the A.C. we but didn't feel comfortable doing that.
*Print the welcome email that gives directions on how to operate the surround sound and projection TV. It will be helpful for all guests that way.
*If you have small children, I'd think carefully about renting this home. The artwork and other small valuables seem like they'd be attractive to tiny hands. We were all adults and even we were a bit nervous about breaking something.
*They are doing construction on the home next door. We did hear some hammering on the afternoon we checked out. Something to be aware of.
*If you plan to use the deck, bring bug spray.
All in all, we loved the house and had a very positive experience. I wish I could live there! LOL! We are now trying to come up with reasons to rent it again ASAP.
Thank you, Francois, for your hospitality!
