              Recent High Springs Reviews

This place was perfect. We wanted seclusion and that's what we got. Great views of the river.

The property is gorgeous with huge oak trees growing up all around the house. It almost feels like you are in a tree house. There is a nice loft bedroom upstairs with a bathroom that has a porcelain tub, which I enjoyed raking a bubble bath in. There us another bedroom downstairs with a walk in shower. The water was steaming hot and I must say, I took unusually long showers. There us also a futon downstairs right in front of the wood burning stove. Needless to say, we spent a night lounging there by the fire. The kitchen is fully furnished and we used it the whole time so that we could fully enjoy our rental and spend as much of our time there. We never went out to eat, but cooked some great ribeyes on the gas grill on the back deck. Speaking of the back deck, it was huge and there is two lounge chairs, two deck chairs with a table, and a big outdoor dining room table, so the deck is big. We sat out there pretty much the whole time. We even watched a male and female mallard ducks land right in front of us on the river and swim together right in front of our cabin. Plus, one morning I listened to a turkey gobble for a few hours across the river. Huge squirrels played in the big oak trees over head. There are two kayaks and two canoes, however, we brought our river boat and explored the Suwannee River by using the boat landing a few minutes away. There is also a boat landing on the Santa Fe River, however, it was too flooded for us to put in there. Also, there are tons of springs, but again, they were all flooded so you see them for the overflow. But we still enjoyed boat riding and picnicking just the same, as we visited during February. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, ranging in the upper seventies to low fifties at night. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the place is everything you need for a glamping experience of a lifetime. Also, there is plenty of cut fire wood under the house to use in the wood burning stove and plenty of wood outside for the fire pit near the river. Oh, and there is a dock to fish off of or drive your boat and dock to. All I can say is we loved it and will definetly go back if we get the chance. The owners were very quick to respond to their emails and were very helpful in all things. So thank you again for sharing your home.

Will be booking this cabin often. We live in St. Augustine and this was the perfect little get away with the family. Cabin was cozy and clean. Can't wait to go back!!
