I stayed at the Erehwon Retreat in mid September of this year and I truly enjoyed my stay! I made a last minute decision to stay because other plans fell through but I'm very glad I did. I read a lot of the reviews first, of course, because I ended up traveling alone and being a 33 year old single woman that makes you take more into consideration. That being said, this was the right spot for me! The house is quiet and in an area close to a major road so you won't get lost, but tucked into the neighborhood enough where you won't hear any traffic. As a person who needs quiet, this was great for me! I was able to chill and relax on a couple rainy days and go out and do things on the sunny ones. I wanted to have a kitchen for the option of cooking and it was fantastic- Henry had everything! Pots, pans, plus little things you forget you need like spices and nonstick spray. The kitchen was lovely and I can't emphasize how happy I was that the house was so clean! He even had stacks of different movies to watch on the tv which was a great treat for me because I love movies. The other reviews on Henry are spot on- he was the best! Kind, thoughtful and probably the historical authority on all things Florida lol. He was next door if I needed him but not at all creepy or overly invasive. The neighborhood is very quiet so if you like loud hustle and bustle this is not the place for you. Also some good places to eat nearby. The only warning I have is, this house does have 2 bathrooms but one is very historical...translation: tiny! That is of course a feature of most historical houses, but if you're depending on two full sized bathrooms, consider yourself warned! The main bathroom is gorgeous, and the pictures don't do it justice! All in all I felt very safe even when I came home late and I would definitely recommend it for those looking for a quiet relaxing stay.
