Recent Lake Arenal Reviews

Good view, close to pool, knowledgeable owner.

North American like accommodation, cozy, fully stocked for cooking but a couple good restaurants maybe a half mile away. Rand was very knowledgeable and available Would go back.

Buena Vista 1, Casita 17

5 of 5
We stayed in Casita 17 from January 23 to February 13, 2017. Since this was our first time in Costa Rica, we compared everything to Ecuador where we stayed for six weeks in Jan/Feb 2016. Our time in Costa Rica was wonderful. Rand is a very accommodating manager of the property. He quickly took care of any items that needed to be repaired (he even put a screen on a large window and installed a dishwashing sink). In addition, he gave us a ride into Tilaran and provided names and phone numbers of transportation people who took care of our other transportation needs. Casita 17 is a beautiful facility that is perfect for a couple who wants to just kick back and enjoy the weather, the view of the lake, and the solitude. Because Rand is a native English-speaker and we are not fluent in Spanish, we were able to communicate very well.
