Great experience - would definitely come again!

We stayed for 1 week and didn't need a thing. We made breakfast and dinner, and the bungalow had all necessary items to make eggs/toast/spaghetti/garlic bread/pizza/rice - etc. The outdoor grill worked well too. I am 5'8" so the upstairs bedroom was fine for me but if you are 6' you will want to use the downstairs bedroom. The upstairs area was beautifully done - they did an amazing job with the finish. I have stayed in a lot of homes and you can tell that the owners have put lots of thought into setting up the bungalow. Since there is not a dishwasher, we did get a little lazy and buy paper plates. The air conditioners worked fantastic both up and downstairs. The outdoor shower has lots of room and the water did get very hot, which was great. We went early September so the temp outside was fine. The internet worked well, as did the cable. There were lots of plugs so we did not have an issue keeping our gadgets charged. The beds were awesome. There were also TV trays upstairs that we used in various places to set our stuff. A washer and dryer are not available as of yet so make sure to pack enough clothes. We had a question upon arrival and the owners were very responsive, just as they were doing the booking process. The neighborhood is quiet and very convenient to do all the tourist things. We found a nice bakery at the end of the street and the Big Y grocery store is within minutes of the home. The side yard is fenced in and secluded - also nicely done. Would definitely stay again.

The cottage is cute and inviting. The yard is awesome, the view and proximity to the lake can't be

This is our second year here and I can see it becoming a tradition. My sister and I were able to have our adults kids and spouses spend a day or two with us . It was the best time. We all enjoyed the lake ,in fact my 2 year old granddaughter learned to swim there. This cottage is a great place for family fun , catching up with each other and making new memories. I will definitely go back.

              Friendly beach community

              4 of 5
This house is very clean and freshly painted, with 3 upstairs bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and en suite bathroom, there is a second BR with a queen bed and third BR with a single size day bed. The bedrooms would accommodate 4-5 people, so any other guests would be sleeping on the two couches in the living room. This house is across the street from the beach, on the marsh side of Groveway, so it does not have its own private beach access. To get to the beach, you walk up the street for about 10 minutes to a small public beach access. Groveway itself is a picturesque street along the water where people walk, jog, skateboard, bicycle, etc every morning and evening. There are plenty of nearby shops and restaurants including two major grocery stores. We made good use of the kitchen, which is very well appointed with pots, pans, tools and dishes, and did quite a bit of cooking for ourselves. The house also has a first floor deck which is covered by a porch roof, and a second floor deck with an optional awning, so there were many opportunities to enjoy the Sound and the fireworks from these vantage points. There were plenty of extra sheets and towels in a locker area, although it would have been nice if the beds had been made up for us when we arrived. This house is dog-friendly with available dog bed, bowls, and other accessories, but clean enough that allergy sufferers should not be bothered by any pet odors or dander. Be sure to ask for 2 keys if there will be multiple users. The house has good AC that is easy to use in hotter weather. Overall, a nice property and we were glad we came.
