            The Fort

            5 of 5
Our family of 7 stayed for a week at this property. As the owner states, the steep stairs are not good for elder folks for sure. We did fine, and got our exercise! The property is beautiful and unique. The kids and adults enjoyed the catch and release fishing on the property. We were very close to town and enjoyed our stay there. We did have a very cute red tailed fox come visit us every night. Two things to note. Listing says satellite wi-fi. We had no wi-fi at all. Property manager told me if there were clouds in the sky, wi-fi did not work???? Also, we had family members staying in the A-Frame on the property. There is no way to communicate with them once they went to their house and we were in main house. Possibly walkie-talkies would be good? In case of an emergency, you would have to run between both house to communicate.

It doesn't get better than this

We stayed here for a long weekend in September. Couldn't have been a better experience. First off, this is a home and not a house. This place is absolutely beautiful and it's easy to tell how much care and love has gone in to every detail of the property. The entire house is very comfortable, inviting, and group friendly. There is ample space to cook, eat, hang out, watch TV, or sit on the porch. The best part of the house is what surrounds it. There are a myriad of activities at your fingertips; fishing, horseback riding, paddle-boarding, hiking, picnic-ing, pickle ball etc are a short walk away. Looking forward to staying here again!
