Great for our large family reunion

5 of 5
The cabin is as described, rustic with nicely comfortable mountainous decor...and truly in a remote area where you will enjoy total peace and quiet and the beauty of untouched forest. Barb and Carol who own the property were wonderful to work with. The manual that they put out is thorough and important to read as describes the location and the cabin size for the capabilities of a large party....as well as some of the challenges! Sleeping accommodations are comfortable and depending on the size and number occupying the cabin ... The bathrooms may be a challenge. Both kitchens were a huge plus for a large party! Both were fully stocked to cook for large parties! We love the large dining table both for meals and for games. We loved the fire pit out back! We loved the perfectly placed Hummingbird feeder and the constant viewing of lots of hummingbirds all day long. The lookout balconies were large and very beautiful to view out into the forest and enjoy the peace and quiet. Parking is ample. Telluride is within an hours drive and several fishing lakes are nearby. Durango is not too far and a good days outing for the train and teenage activities. The people living in the small town of Dolores are friendly and inviting. Lots of outdoor activities there and good eating in restaurants and coffee houses! All in all a very nice week with our large family reunion!
