Great location in downtown Medellin. Right in front of the new tram line. Safest street in downtown.

Really enjoyed my stay in the apartment. All new amenities. Comfortable bed. Great view from balcony. 24hr bakery/snacks across the street. 24hr atm across the street. The neighborhood is in el centro. If you know the area and know what you want out of Medellin then this the place for you. Away from the tourists but central to the people of the city. Very close proximity to all my favorite spots in downtown. Just minutes walk for my daily rounds in the neighborhood. I stayed in park lleras last time I was here and found myself taking taxis daily to the center of town and it added up. The apartment is directly on the street of the new tram line. Very well lit and security guards at the nearby tram stations well into the night. Walked home every night from the local bars. I would do so at your own discretion though. A $3 taxi ride is a great value for a safe ride home even if it is for 5 blocks. I speak Spanish and am well traveled, so I felt comfortable walking down the streets but that doesn't mean I didn't take a taxi when I wasn't feeling so lucky. Haha. But I had a wonderful time in the apartment and I hope you guys do too! Also the doormen are very very welcoming and very respectful of your privacy. I found myself bringing home an arepa (local snack) or two for the guys at the door. A little courtesy goes a long way here! I had many local friends come and visit with no hassles. It is a great place to hideaway and live like a local. I plan to stay here every time I come back. It's absolutely perfect for my needs. The host Juanes was always available to answer any questions I had and he made every effort to make my stay a stress free one. He grew up in the states so English is not a problem. Also the in-unit washer-dryer was great! Lots of hot water! Clean bathroom. Wifi was great. Hope to be back soon! Also there are two small restaurants next to the bakery, one of them serves some pretty great chicharron carnudo!
