Recent Central Mexico / Colonial Circuit Reviews

“Comfortable, private guest cottage on the grounds of a beautiful, hillside home. ”

                          5 of 5
The one-bedroom, “Casita” was beautifully decorated with all the necessary amenities. It is located across a small patio from the main house, affording guests a quiet, peaceful and private location. The patio includes an outdoor dining alcove for breakfast or for evening cocktails. The Casita's kitchen area included a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and toaster, everything necessary for preparing a light breakfast. The hosts provided coffee, a variety of teas, and other breakfast items. On arrival, we found a tray of beautiful fresh fruit. The property is maintained daily by a friendly, efficient staff of two. The hosts, Joseph and Eli, were helpful in suggesting places to go, things to see and restaurant recommendations. The beautiful photos in the listing are exactly what you'll find when you get there. Although it is about a mile from El Jardin (central plaza), it is a pleasant, downhill walk. This also means that it is away from the noise of downtown. For those who don’t want to walk, taxis are quite inexpensive and plentiful all over the city. All in all, Casa de la Paz is a great place to relax and retreat to in San Miguel, a magical city in the mountains of Mexico.

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It is close to the hotel we have to go every day. The owner is very nice and assisted us to solve our problem. We would like to stay the same place if we will have to come back. Thanks! Lulu

                          delightful vacation

                          4 of 5
We stayed at Casaazteca for six weeks this year and were very pleased with everything about the house. Having stayed in many other houses over the years , we truly appreciated that the house was recently painted and was very clean and colorful. Some of the outstanding features were the upstairs bedroom in which we could lie in bed at night and have a spectacular view of the lighted Parroqia and the town. The mattresses are new and firm and very comfortable. The house is well equipped with washer, dryer, FLAT SCREEN TV and just about everything you might want in the kitchen Our hosts, Andrew and Dorothy, were very nice and most accomodating with any of our requests. We found the location excellent--took me 9 minutes at a moderate pace to walk to the Jardin--and I'm 77 years old. The walk back is steep only for a short distance . The callejon (little street) on which the house is situated is in a mostly Mexican area tho with a good sprinkling of gringos. The street has charm with kids of all ages hanging out-a family Mexican neighborhood. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the street leaves something to be desired Thank you Andrew and Dorothy.
