If you're looking to get out of society's way for a bit, this is the place to be. Surrounded by trees, greenery, birds and great views inside and out, you definitely feel like you're way off the beaten path. It's pretty far from any type of commerce or store, there's no TV, internet or cell service (fortunately) so be sure to stock up on what you need and plan to spend time relaxing at the cabin. The cabin itself is basic, but adequate. We loved the woodstove and seemingly endless supply of firewood which definitely helped for chilly nights and mornings. The composting toilet was a bit awkward and took some getting used to, and we wished there would have been some more comfortable seating in the living room since we did a lot of reading and cozying by the fire. We brought our 3 year old son, and he loved the ladder and the loft and peeing outside, though there isn't much for a young kid to do on the property due to the steep terrain immediately around the cabin so we made lots of trips to the amazing nearby attractions in Santa Cruz, Felton, Capitola, and on and on. Olivia is very sweet, has a good energy, and was very accommodating and considerate. We were even invited to a new year's gathering at the main house! Overall, this is a very unique and special experience which we will cherish for years.
