A little gem (circa 1920s cottage) in Mission Hills centrally located to all of San Diego's venues.

We stayed in the cottage five nights and had a wonderful time. Brian and Miranda are quite personable and very approachable (i.e. friendly). The cottage is within walking distance to half a dozen good restaurants (The Patio on Goldfinch was our favorite) and there's a nearby Vons Supermarket for folks like us who like to breakfast in. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed having a gas stove for a change. The cottage is cozy and we found that opening windows and using the Duracraft ocillating fan in the living room, along with the bedroom overhead fan, kept us comfortable. We were there the first week of August, but didn't feel a need to use the window AC unit. The location is unbeatable: 10-15 minutes to Balboa Park, 10-15 minutes to the Mission and Qualquam? Stadium (San Diego Chargers NFL) , 15-20 minutes to the beaches or to Coronado Island, 10 minutes to Little Italy, and maybe 15 minutes to the Gas Lamp District and Petco Park (which we learned is home to the San Diego Padres baseball team). Just a relaxed place to stay. A glass of wine on the back deck overlooking the canyon is a great way to end the day. It doesn't get any better!
