Great spot!

4 of 5
We were eight - two adults with six teenagers. The rooming arrangement was perfect to give the kids some privacy as well as us. The open kitchen and living room was terrific, with plenty of space at the dining room table for group meals, and the entire clan could be comfy watching a movie in the LR. Another big plus: the pass-through bathroom to get to the hot tub was terrific! It made showering-before-bathing a dream, and provided easy access directly to the private hot tub area. There was a gorgeous view from the tub, and I imagine the whole property down to the river would be wonderful in the summer. Downsides: the Wifi really only worked well in the small back bedroom near us, so the kids would hang out in there for hours just to be on Wifi. The Wifi was also not working well enough to make our computers work, just our phones. This winter has been super wet and really rough on the roads - so the potholes were pretty extensive and my daughter's friend ended up with two flats and needed to replace all four of her tires. Fortunately her rims weren't damaged, but apparently she has a brand of car (Audi) that has been super susceptible this winter (per the AAA tow guy). So be careful driving this winter wherever you are staying! Dave was a great host - right next door and super available to help. I would definitely stay here again!

Super location and very clean

4 of 5
Pros: Super location close to Heavenly ski resort, dining, and all the sights, clean place with a cabin feel to it, complex has great amenities Cons: The beds were quite substandard. I didn't look under the sheets in the master bedroom, however, I am quite sure there were cinderblocks under there (my boyfriend says it was only plywood, but I don't think so.) We changed to the spare bedroom on the 2nd night, it was bearable. (Who wants to go on vacation to sleep on a "bearable" bed???) The spare bedroom did not have a light on a switch and the lamp would not turn off so you had to plug and unplug it, which proved to be very frustrating and inconvenient. The good news is: the "cons" are easily fixed. Once they are, this will be one of the best places to stay in So Lake Tahoe.

Best Location in South Lake Tahoe

We had such an amazing trip! The rooms are clean and fully equipped with everything you need to cook for your family, the connecting indoor/outdoor pools are awesome and you can't beat the proximity to the beach!
