The condo location is ideal, directly across S. Walnut from Magic Way, a 15-20 min walk to the park entrances. Trams are 5 min walk to save your feet, but usually a wait. The complex is older and in disrepair, and although the condo has been painted and decorated, it still has an older feel, but who spends much time there anyway. Overall it met our needs and was a good base for our vacation. NOTE: the condo photos on this listing #361730 are of a similar, nicer unit, not of the actual condo we were given. Our view was the back of garages, patio had no tree or umbrella and uneven pavers, dark wood kitchen cabinets with no recessed lighting, vertical blinds in bedrooms (missing half of the veins) and shear curtains, slatted laundry doors with white washer/dryer, different furniture throughout except the dining room table, etc.
The king sized bed in master was comfy and room spacious with big walk-in closet, but bed frame is wooden so a bit noisy with movement. Master bath is small, but a roomy tub/shower combo and vanity. Upstairs bath had a tub/shower combo with pedestal sink so no counter space and fan not working. Downstairs bath was nice to have with a pedestal sink and toilet. Second bedroom is small with a double/twin bunk. The ceiling fan was too wobbly to use. Fortunately the weather was cool so opened window. We didn’t need the air/heat and loved the breezes through the front door locking screen. The keyless entry is really great.
Although the kitchen is very small, it had what we needed for our breakfasts. We prearranged with owner for propane for BBQ so we could have friends in for one lunch. The covered garbage can is too large for an already tiny kitchen. Dining room table is a nice size, but only 4 chairs. There are also 3 bar stools at the breakfast bar. Futon couches are not overly comfy and no rug in the tiled living room. The only carpet is on stairway/hall and in bedrooms with multiple stains. Overall the condo seemed clean.
Owner was responsive from our first inquiry and available by text. However final instructions due 2 days prior to arrival were not received until the morning before. Follow up call received to make certain all questions were answered. We didn’t need to talk to owner during our stay.
