        Couples Retreat

        5 of 5
This was the perfect get-away for us / two couples. Floating in the heated pool at midnight, gazing at the stars...darned fine. Halcyon / Kingfisher Rest. is a Km away, for a night out . We drove in to a nearby natural hot-spring, experienced some locals, "au natural" :) really cool place, highoy recommend for relaxation , hiking, and healthy dose of good clean fresh air.

        An unparalleled experience....

My wife and I use the VRBO style accommodations for almost all our vacations, but have never seen the pure beauty, hospitality and quality that we enjoyed this summer at Trout Lake. The hosts Jeanine and John were attentive and extremely helpful. The rooms were well appointed with any and all amenities that one would find at home making it a very easy transition into the suite. Comfortable beds, fresh towels and a modern, yet cozy suite were great. The view is beyond spectacular from the suites balcony. Access to the lake is fantastic (and private!). Over all, an amazing quiet retreat to just simply "get away". We've already booked for 2017! Dave & Trish

Excellent view - quiet retreat - beautiful place

We were met on arrival by Martha who welcomed us and said she was available if we needed anything as she lived just down the road. Everything you would need in a stay was in the house. Full kitchen, spices, coffee, teas, games, movies, cable, CD`s for music, internet connection. Hairdryer, fans in each room. Excellent instructions on how to use things, appliances and arrival and exit instructions. The mineral hot tub was so good and private we didn't even go to Halcyon Hot Springs - we had the same thing for the two of us - almost like an infinity pool looking into the lake. Our stay was relaxing, private with a great view. Recommended for anyone. Nakusp is 25+ mins away for groceries and restaurants, but the instructions advised of that so we knew to expect that. This was our first VRBO experience and set a very high standard! We will return!
