    Spacious Home in Prime Location

    4 of 5
Yes, this is an older house and it has some of the eccentricities an older house tends to have. But, it is super spacious, is in a very prime location of Vancouver, is very well appointed, and the manager is a good host. Spacious: 6 bedrooms for a total of 7 beds, all double or larger size, 3 living areas with couches which can sleep more guests, and 3 bathrooms. Location: you don't need a car to see any of Vancouver if you stay here - a few minutes walk from major artery bus lines and the neighborhood itself is beautiful. Well appointed: full size kitchen with all the major appliances and many counter top appliances available, pots, pans, dishes & utensils plus salt & pepper, flour, oil, coffee, tea & sugar, and basic condiments provided; full size washer & dryer (detergent provided), drying rack & folding table, ironing board & iron in the laundry room; lots of bed linens & towels; body wash, shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer provided in each bathroom; lots of hangers in each bedroom's closet. Oh, and the water pressure & hot water is excellent in all 3 bathrooms and the kitchen. We did not need anything much from our host, but I truly felt I could text him at any time if we had needed something. Our group was my husband and I, our three kids (ages 10, 7, 4), and a grandparent. This house would be comfortable for a much larger multi-generational group than ours, or 2-4 separate families traveling together or for a large group of couples & singles. I would hesitate to recommend to a family traveling with a crawling infant or toddler as the stairs are a bit tricky. A note on the house's layout: Vancouver homes typically have basements so with this house you take a few steps up a porch to enter on the top/ main floor which has the kitchen, dining room, 2 of the living areas, 3 of the bedrooms, and 2 of the bathrooms. Then the stairs take you down to the lower/ basement floor which has the remaining living area, 3 more bedrooms, a bathroom, and the laundry room. There is an exit from the basement to the exterior. We would look to stay here again on a future trip to Vancouver.
