Dream Holidays on golden sandy beach

5 of 5
How do you describe a two bedroom cottage that is set right on the beach that every catamaran takes its guests to hunt for sea turtles and watch the sun go down? This is the perfect beach house in the most idyllic cove on the nicest side of Barbados. Mahi Mahi is simple, which makes it absolutely ideal if you're looking for your own piece of paradise to sit back and watch the world go by from your own porch. Step off your porch and you are on beautiful Paynes Bay beach. If you're thinking of taking one of those beautiful sunset cruises, don't bother. They'll just be taking you to your front door. Everyone is so friendly. We felt 100% safe there and everywhere we traveled on the island. If you want to jet ski, water ski, tube or whatever, the guys on the beach are great, nice and fun, and they'll help you with whatever you want to do. A short walk in either direction on the beach are beautiful snorkeling reefs with tons of gorgeous fish and beautiful live coral. The water is crystal clear with that beautiful Caribbean aqua color. (I miss it already!) The swimming is absolutely great. What a treat! The house is just south of Holetown, which is a 30-minute walk along a spectacular beach. Everything you'll need is in town (which you can walk to on the beach or the road or simply flag a bus for $1 a ride and it's a three minute ride - supermarket, great restaurants all around up and down the beach and just across the street. We had the best time everyday. We ate great food in Holetown at the Surfside, the Lone Star (my personal favorite) is further north, Daphne's, a short walk to the south (a bit pricey) and the little house diagonally across the street to the left with the tiny sandwich board on the sidewalk where they serve you from the family kitchen excellent island food. What a wonderful time we had in Barbados! Manfred is a great host, always available when needed while making himself invisible otherwise allowing us to have privacy. His home is right on the beach and is equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We explored all sides of the island as we rented a car and the beach the house is on is one of the prettiest for sure. Thank you

Lovely condo. Close to everything.

We loved the condo. The most beautiful beach across the street. Patrick was great as he guided us toward everything we could ever need on this island paradise.

Loved The house

5 of 5
The house was even more beautiful in person. Loved the fact that two grocery stores and the beach is just a short walk down the road. You even get a free ride back from the grocery store if you spend more than $50 Barbados dollars. It was 6 of us so that was a great help. The taxi ride from the airport to the house was only $51 barbados dollars. The house was in a very quiet area. No noise from neighbors at all. It's relatively close to a busy road but you can barely hear it and us being from NYC that was extremely quiet roads. The house also have all the brochures you can ask for so go nuts reading them to plan out your stay.We had the same taxi driver for our entire stay. We found his number in the house. The bedroom are very roomy and has lots of storage space. The house was well maintained. We did a tour with suntours and a swim with the turtles. I wouldn't recommend the tour part with them I would recommend the island safari. I couldn't get good pictures because of the vehicle they chose with suntours. We went to oistins fish fry on Friday evening. The food was amazing. We also went to Boat Yard where you pay 50BD to get in and you get it back in food and drinks and lounge chair rentals.
