We have traveled to the California Baja Sur since 2001 and have stayed at various places in La Paz, Cabo Pulmo, La Ribera, and Cabo San Lucas. This was our first time with a rental on the Pacific side of the Baja.
The Casita At Mision Trinidad is a squeaky clean casita that offers stunning sunsets along with booming ocean waves that crash on the deserted beach directly in front of you. The owners, Bernie and Marietta, are two of the most generous and hospitable people on the planet. They have furnished their guest casita with a huge comfy bed and all of the kitchen utensils you need to cook with. The architecture of their home and the casita is both beautiful and functional with no air conditioning needed due to the constant ocean breezes and large ceiling fan. In addition to the kitchen gas stove, there is a charcoal and a propane grill available for cooking which we made use of quite frequently.
There is a large veranda that overlooks the Pacific which you can lounge on while you turn brown from the Baja sun. The area has plenty of restaurants within a 10-20 minute drive and the fresh fish is delicious. Numerous poblano pepper farms dot the desert land and the towns of El Pescadero and Todas Santos are close by.
We had reliable internet and cell phone service which was needed to keep tabs on our two and four footed animals at home.
If you want to visit the Pacific side of the Baja Sur and have close proximity to local cuisine and a quiet, serene place to lay your head at night, then you should really consider staying here.
