Getting away from it all while still having it all

        5 of 5
Our first trip to the Bahamas — my wife and our two college-aged children and my sister and her husband. We wanted to get away from it all and have a relaxing time in the Caribbean — and boy did we ever. Much of the relaxation came because Judd and Dale took care of so many of the details for us. He told us which flights from Nassau to book. He had a taxi waiting for us. He helped us arrange our rental car. He told us about the island masseuse. Judd introduced us to Urshula, who cooked two unforgettable dinners for us at the house. He gave us tips and suggestions for more things to do than we’d have time for if we stayed there a month (which now that I mention it is a pretty good idea!). It’s impossible to overstate how helpful Judd and Dale were. The house is unbelievable. Walk through the front gate and there’s a lovely garden — a haven for birds, including a hummingbird during our stay. The pool and patio are exquisite and the view is unforgettable. At night you can’t believe the stars. Inside, the house has everything — the six of us were very comfortable. On Judd’s recommendation we went to Chez Pierre’s. You simply must go to Chez Pierre’s. Make your own drink at the bar, settle in and enjoy some of the best cooking anywhere. One of the highlights of the trip was a visit to Dean’s Blue Hole. The beach at Cape Santa Maria Resort is to die for. We can’t wait to return.

        Spacious, modern, comfortable, private. Perfect

Everything about this home and property is special. Very thoughtfully designed and supplied. Everything we needed was there. We also felt very reassured that and needs we had could be handled by our neighbor Jill. She even supplied air for our SUVs low tire. We are a family of four and only used Solstice but the other home was at our disposal. Wifi was fine. We took advantage of the many DVDs every night and found some interesting books in the collection. We've never seen so many stars at night. We checked out some sites to the south like Deans Blue Hole and Clarence Town, but honestly I didn't want to leave the property. We enjoyed key limes, pomegranates and tangerines off the trees every day. I'd go back in a second.

        Nice, Peaceful, Well-Maintained Property

        5 of 5
My husband and I have stayed at Caribbean Blue Beach Estate twice, and we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The first time we stayed was in 2015, before Hurricane Joaquin, and the second time was in 2017, more than a year after the storm. We were amazed when we came back that the house had been repaired to the extent that everything was exactly the way we had remembered it, except for some of the palm branches missing from the roof of the hut on the beach. If you enjoy crowds, night life, entertainment, lots of shopping, or a luxury hotel experience, you should probably visit Nassau or Disney instead of coming to Long Island. We love visiting Long Island, because it is very quiet, the people are so nice, the restaurant food is delicious and affordable, and we can have the beach all to ourselves as a general rule. The house is in a natural setting, and we love seeing the wildlife, such as hermit crabs, lizards, and the occasional wild boar. Caribbean Blue is tucked away in dense Bahamian vegetation, so although there is a handful of houses nearby, you usually never see other people unless you choose to do so. The house is on the top of a hill, and you can see the Atlantic Ocean from the back of the house. There is a private path that leads down the hill to the beach, which is in easy walking distance. The interior of the house is spacious, with an open dining/living room area. The wooden beams in the ceiling are gorgeous. The location of the house is in the sparsely populated Miley settlement, just south of Clarence Town. Within a 10-30 minute drive you can get to restaurants, stores, and attractions, such as the world-famous Deans Blue Hole. Brian and Audra are trustworthy and wonderful to work with before, during and after your stay. Audra does most of the communication, and she is very prompt in helping with any needs. With our most recent visit, our local caretaker was JJ, and he very graciously went way out of his way to help us when we needed his assistance. Caribbean Blue Beach Estate is a nice, peaceful, well-maintained property, and we highly recommend staying there.
