Grand Bahama: Budget Cottage Rentals (5)

            Recent Grand Bahama Reviews

It's perfect. Shhhh - don't tell anyone else!

            5 of 5
Gracious, helpful, fun, welcoming hosts; secluded location; spectacular almost-empty kilometers-long beach; ultimate privacy; incredibly spacious; functioning wifi; functioning satellite TV; generous hot water for the shower and separate bathtub; selection of guide books, fiction and games; and perhaps best of all, a lovely screened front porch with a relaxing view of the ocean. If you are looking for a wonderful setting for absolute quiet and relaxation with minimal near-by tourism infrastructure, Adagio Cottage is the place for you. It was perfect for our needs. Four things we recommend to lucky future guests: 1) a rental car - the local buses are too erratic as a means to arrive, depart or do anything else in-between; 2) purchase all your groceries before you depart Freeport - there is really nothing near-by for top-ups; 3) buy enough bottled water for your needs - we tried boiling the tap water for later consumption but found the minerals a bit off-putting; 4) bring long trousers and/or bug repellent - like most places in the Caribbean there are tiny no-see-ums which get through the screens and enjoy your ankles in the evenings. In conclusion, Adagio is a treasure. Five stars.

This place is to "die for," honestly!

Absolutely perfect "beach-life," beach-front accommodations, an amazing owner that will make sure you have everything you need, totally immaculate and cozy, beautiful colors everywhere that are perfectly put together, wonderful swaying palm trees in the gentle breezes, turquoise waters in more shades of blue than I have ever seen, beautuful reef fish and coral, long stretches of white sand beach in both directions, one of which leads to beautiful Banana Bay where there are amazing sand bars at low tide to wade in and collect beautiful shells.

The lilac cottage was perfect for it family of 6. We surf casted from the shore enjoyed the wonderful beach and had a vacation of a life time. Christmas dinner at Berthas blue dingy was a lovely island treat. Gladys is great at communications and very warm and helpful. Coming back very soon.
