                Almost Perfect

                5 of 5
Where do I start? The title says it all, "Almost Perfect". It would be perfect if I owned it. By that I mean I could live there peacefully and quiet for the rest of my life. Gary and Bonnie made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. Gary and Bonnie are the best hosts you can ask for, we asked and they gave us numerous recommendations for food, hiking trails and other items. Bonnie and Gary are people that when you meet them, you feel like you have known them for 30 years. The casita is everything the pictures show, perfect for a few people. The location is ideal for almost anything you want to do in Tucson and surrounding area. We like to hike and there are a few trailheads 5 minutes from the house and we hiked over 60 miles in the 2 weeks we stayed there. The place has numerous animals on the property. A few horses, a donkey named Jasmine and a dog named Otis. If you have never experienced the night sky in the west, you should visit this place and gaze into the night sky after dark. You will experience stars as you’ve never seen them. Mt Lemon is a short drive away and well worth the drive. We are already planning next year’s trip to Tucson and we will definitely be staying here again. I would recommend this rental to anyone Jennifer and Everett Hovencamp, Dickerson, MD

                Location, location, location!

Just two miles from the Saguaro National Park in a quiet desert area, this has to be the best place for a Tucson vacation. John and Steffi know the area well; it is almost like having your own tour guide. Breakfast is a gourmet being of your day. We stayed in the guest house, which was comfortable and quaint. A refrigerator and cooking utensils are provided. We only made ourselves tea at night because, after all, I was on vacation. A hotplate is also provided, but I don't think that you would want to do anything fancy or complicated on it. We are thinking about meeting family here to let our granddaughter swim, hike, horseback ride and visit the Desert Museum.

I've always wanted to stay in a pueblo-style home and this Casita was NOT a disappointment. But beyond the wonderful accommodations, we really enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful desert and mountains and being able to relax on any of three sides of the Casita and enjoy the views and peace and relaxation! My husband and I really grew to love the desert! Thank you both for your hospitality and always making sure that everything was taken care of. Two months VERY well spent!!
