We had a wonderful few days at the Mountain Pond house with our 8 and 2 year old. The house was very clean, great decor, wonderful kitchen that was very well stocked. The pond provided lots of entertainment for our kids and the hills were great to hike up and get their energy out. Such a beautiful spot in the country. Wonderful country roads to drive on to get to hikes, Goshen Pass, swinging bridges and Lexington. We had a wonderful time.
We stayed at the Dunshee’s Casita off of Acequia Madre rd, Santa Fe, for three nights last weekend. We had such a wonderful stay.
Quiet, comfortable, and friendly. It’s a great location just at the top end of the Canyon Road galleries and restaurants. (We walked to
5 “five” meals at the Tea House, two blocks away on Canyon.)
We had our two medium/large dogs with us. They met our hostess, Susan Dunshee, and from that moment on, we felt so welcome. Lots of great dog walks in the neighborhood and the nearby park. They and we loved the area. Our pups stayed in their crates when we went out on our own, then loved being out with us in the casita when we were hanging out at “home.”
There is a little fenced area behind the casita for dogs going “out” when in need off leash. Great for first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Highly recommended! The Dunshee’s in Santa Fe. We’ll be returning soon!
