This year we decided to try a whole family vacation. There were 6 adults and 5 children. I was concerned we would be cramped for space but that definitely was not the case. We stayed July 6 - 13 and had a wonderful time.
The minute we walked in to the home I was impressed. You see I am a skeptic and hard to please so I was thrilled. I immediately kicked off my flip flops...because it was obvious the floors were that clean.
We walked from one room to the next and really fell in love with everything we saw. There were so many great finishing touches all around the home.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. The cooking items were very easily found because of organization of the cabinets. I loved that!
The same can be said for the bathrooms too. They even supplied shampoo and conditioner in case you forgot to bring yours along. The towels provided were a nice quality as were the bed linens also provided.
The bedroom had lots of outlets for technology. The bed was comfortable and we all slept well. The way the bedrooms worked for us it seemed we all had our own private area for sleeping away from the others in the house.
Then there was the deck...…we all enjoyed sitting around and having a fun time. Morning coffee was wonderful with everyone together. The view of the lake was so relaxing. I also loved listening to the sounds of nature.
Sadly we did not use the fire pit as much as we thought we would but that is our fault. Lots of nights we simply enjoyed relaxing on the deck or in the gorgeous great room. The newly installed AC worked very well to cool the whole home. Everybody was comfortable and that meant a lot to me.
The pools were great fun. The one pool is walking distance from the home. So nice to get ready and just walk to a pool. Our 1 year old granddaughter loved the pool so we tried to go every day the weather was nice. Luckily that was almost every day.
So bottom line this was a very positive experience for our family……we all had a great time together. This might have been our first time vacationing with the whole family but I can assure you it will not be the last!
