My husband and I had the most wonderful weekend at this lovely cottage! I thought the cottage looked beautiful online, but it seems larger and even more attractive in person. There are pretty rustic details everywhere you look (without being at all fussy), and the loft area is much more spacious than I expected, with a high ceiling. All of the furniture is handsome and extremely comfortable, and the water pressure is excellent. Cubby and Fritz have thought of everything that you could possibly need, even a dog bed by the front door. We have a large dog, and it was so nice to just let him run free outside without having to worry about traffic. It was too buggy to sit outside, but it might be better at another time of year.
If you are looking for a great hike, I can recommend the Stowe Pinnacle Trail -- about 3 miles total, with beautiful views and plenty of shade on a hot summer day. It was a 15-minute drive from the cottage.
We dined at the Bistro at Ten Acres and Edson Hill and loved both restaurants. The Sunday Stowe farmer's market is lots of fun, with about 20 vendors and live music, a great place to have a picnic lunch.
Thank you, Cubby and Fritz, for the ideal home away from home -- I only wish we could have stayed longer!
