The apartment is located within the Old Town. It is spacious with high quality materials used throughout but marred by poor quality workmanship. The balcony is wonderful and provides a near-panoramic view of the Old Town. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Exterior blinds on the windows blocks sunlight
We encountered many major and minor problems with the apartment during our stay but all were quickly resolved by the management company
Music from nearby venues which plays until 4 AM can be heard in the apartment
Upon entering the apartment on the ground level, you must climb a steep and long, non-conforming (narrow treads and risers) staircase to the first floor. On the first floor a narrow spiral staircase leads to the second floor
Uneven floor surfaces on the first and second floor may cause tripping
The sink in the bathroom on the second floor is very small, almost to the point of being unusable
The ceiling in the first-floor bathroom is very low – estimated at under 5 feet 10 inches
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Medieval Villa in old town Rhodes. The villa was wonderful and beautifully restored. It met our needs perfectly though it is on 3 levels so be aware if you have mobility issues. It is located within easy walking distance of all of the old town historical sites, museums, and restaurants. There is also a small market just up the street. Maria provided much valuable information prior to our arrival. George greeted us at the villa on arrival and was a great help in many ways. We arrived late on Greece’s Easter Sunday when many stores and restaurants would be closed so George had purchased many supplies and thoughtfully had a simple hot meal available for us. He also arranged a wonderful tour of old town with an excellent tour guide, Alex. Lindos was a great day trip and we also took an additional day trip to Symi on a high speed ferry that was easily accessible from the harbor. All in all we had a wonderful time in Rhodes.
