We just returned from our week stay and already miss our morning walk to Alfama Doce for our coffee. Lunch was in the neighbourhood Tasco do vicario. For a completely different dining experience we really enjoyed India Gate!
We had Helena arrange our Airport transfers as the apartment is in a restricted parking and access part of the city. It was a good idea.
The property is perfect, but I would mention that there are stairs up to the apartment and stairs inside up to the 2 bedrooms. The apartment is as pictured. The neighborhood can be noisy but that's part of the experience. The apartment says cools with the windows shut & open in the cooler morning and evenings. The location is within walking distance to the train station Santa Apolonia and buses. We enjoyed walking the narrow streets, but make sure you have good shoes and are prepared for stairs and hills. The views are worth every step! Purchasing the Lisboa card was worth it for 24hrs of bus and museum entrances. Don't miss the Monastery De Los Jeronimos, Museo National De Carruajes (National Coach Museum) both a highlight! Also the Museo De Arte, Arquitectura Y Tecnolgia (Museum of Art, Architecture & Technology) make sure to visit to separate renovated Power Station building of the museum!
We travelled with our two young adult sons (21 & 24) and so enjoyed every moment.
Thank you Helena, your apartment was perfect for us!
