We really enjoyed our stay at this villa! The villa was exactly as described and the amenities were terrific. The welcome book and welcome letter both contain all of the information you need. Felix was very responsive to texts and made some great recommendations, such as a visit to Lachti Harbor and renting a boat there.
We arrived several hours later than expected due to British Airways connection snafu and Lisa and Felix were kind enough to leave some food basics for us in the villa so we had something available to eat as soon as we arrived.
Our only hiccup was getting very lost finding the villa as we wound up arriving so late that it was dark when we were driving to the villa. It might have been much easier to find for the first time during daylight. The property itself is not recognized by GPS. If you can get to the Banana Leaf coffee shop in Coral Bay, you are pretty much there!
Thanks, Lisa and Felix, for a wonderful stay at this villa! We always rent a villa for vacation and we all agreed that this was by far the best villa and best value of all the villas where we’ve stayed in Europe, South America and the US!
Gorgeous villa in a great location with views of the hills, the sea and banana groves. The villa was a great size, plenty of room in the bedrooms and living areas (although we spent most of our time outside). Lots of seating areas and shade so if anyone doesn't want to sit in the hot sun they don't have to.
There are villas at either side of you but it still feels very private.
There were two fans in the living area (no AC) and then the bedrooms had AC. Only problem was that the AC was on a 2hr timer so didn't feel like we had a great nights sleep as we were constantly getting up to put the AC back on. We visited in May so I don't know how people cope in the summer months (this was our only negative of the villa).
The pool was a great size, shallow at one end and then deeper at the other. One point, maybe you should put the depth at each end for people with kids? Our kids loved the pool.
The strip of Coral Bay is close by where you can find lots of bars and restaurants. It says you don't need car hire but we rented a car. There are so many lovely places to visit that you would need a car for, like the akamas, sea caves and also lovely little quaint towns.
We found some great restaurants, a couple of our favourite ones were Oniro by the Sea (which has a shipwreck) and Sea Caves Lounge bar, both are located near the sea caves and have great views of the Mediterranean sea. These are more laid back unique restaurants instead of the karaoke type that are located in Coral Bay.
Would also recommend going to the Akamas. There was a lovely restaurant on the beach called Lara beach. Not many tourists there as you need a vehicle. If you want to go any further than Lara beach you need a 4x4.
Paul & Kristina manage the villa. Paul came and checked on us to make sure everything was okay.
We would definitely book this villa again and recommend to friends. We had a great holiday :)
