  • Cannot beat the spectacular view!!!

This was our second time here, and when we got to the cottage, the grill and fire pit was gone. But Raul got us a grill the very next day, and we bought a cheap little weber to use for a fire pit. Raul was able to get us a great fire pit right before we left, and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! Our stay was fabulous! We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers pretty much the whole week, and a few times ate out. We had wine and munchies outside every day. Watching those waves crash up on the rocks RIGHT BELOW you is mesmerizing! The last time we were here was in Feb, and it was dark by 5. This time it stayed light a lot longer so we were able to enjoy the view…a lot longer! The cottage was spotless, and it had everything we needed. As mentioned before, if you are planning on gourmet cooking, this will not be the place for you. If you are here to enjoy nature at its finest, and just chill, this is THE place! We spent our week exploring the coast: Hiking the Fern Canyon to the waterfall-incredible!! Russian Gulch is beautiful, and the Jug Handle beach is quiet and lovely to stroll. We went to Pt Cabrillo lighthouse, and we did the Skunk Train Pedal cars-a ton of fun! We drove into Mendocino and walked through town and did the headlands walk. Gorgeous place and so much driftwood on the beach! Our favorite spot was Glass Beach. There is not much sea glass left, but the walk along the beach is incredible. We spent two days exploring every crevice, and enjoying the tide pools. Unique places we went to: Farmers markets in Ft Bragg and Mendocino, Pacific Star Winery (even if you don’t like wine, spectacular views!!), Mendocino Chocolate Co (dark chocolate sea salt caramels-oh my!!), Goodlife Café and Bakery (great place for breakfast), Botanical Gardens (you can easily spend a day!), Glass Fire Art Gallery (beautiful glass and wood works), Triangle Tattoo (very interesting place to see the history of tattoos). And after every adventure, we could not wait to get back to the cottage!! Did I mention the views? And you can actually walk out to the point that is on the right side of the property and get a landscape view-incredible!! We did not sleep in the bed. I slept on the couch, and my friend used the fold out single bed in the closet. We loved waking up to the view-yes, you can see it all right from the living room!! We are already planning our next trip back next year! Thank you Raul for another fantastic stay!!

Everything was excellent from the beginning to end. Great communication from the manager. The bedding was super clean. No comparison to a motel. The location was perfect. The neighbors were quiet and unintrusive. We will be returning.
