We enjoyed our 8 night stay in Ottawa. We came for the tulip festival and to revisit several museums. Ottawa is currently undergoing a lot of construction and infrastructure refurbishment which makes getting around a bit more difficult than normal. The location is about a 20 minute walk to parliament hill and 25 minute walk to the Byward market but is close to the Rideau canal which provides a pleasant walking path in both directions. The Glebe area is also a pleasant neighbourhood to explore. Our two bedroom apartment provided ample kitchen utensils and Pamela had provided a generous supply of coffee, frozen bagels , a dozen eggs and basic condiments making our breakfast easy to have every morning. We also appreciated having access to the washing machine and drier. We did have to take a cab to some of the more remote museums and the construction and resulting traffic jams made some cab rides longer than otherwise would be the case. All in all we enjoyed having two bedrooms for two couples in this apartment as a base for exploring our national capital.
