We absolutely feel in love with this quaint cottage near the east coast of Maine. Beautiful beaches nearby and incredible seafood at too numerous to count establishments in the area. The cottage has a great waterview and barn in the background which was really nice to wake up to. Can’t recommend this place enough although hopeful that we can still rebook in the future and not booked out too much because of more people finding this hidden gem. The owner was very timely with replies and recommendations for the area. Allowing us to bring our well mannered dogs was also a plus. Such a nice getaway for the week!
You couldn't ask for a more serene setting for exploring mid Maine. The cottage is immaculate and very cozy complete with electric fireplace which we used often since it was still a bit cool at night. Located almost midway between Portland and Acadia, we were able to explore not only Acadia National Park but also Camden Hills State Park nearby and also many of the lighthouses and surrounding towns. Even early in the season, there was no shortage of things to see and do. Chris & Bill were excellent hosts and gave us good recommendations to get us started. When not adventuring, we enjoyed relaxing with the lovely view out our windows. The only thing we missed was finding a kayak rental close by so that we could have enjoyed exploring the cove during our stay. We look forward to returning and may even drive up with our own kayaks rather than flying!
