The cottage is very well outfitted and immaculately clean. It's equipped with extras that we haven't found in most other rentals in Europe like laundry detergent, soaps, juice, milk, butter, and three kinds of jams. It also has a shelf in the shower for shampoos etc. Very much appreciated. The topper is that the hosts deliver farm fresh eggs from their chickens along with croissants and a baggette each morning. We felt so pampered. Corinne and Frederic are the best hosts!
The charm of the “Gite Pot of Wine is matched by the charm of its warm, friendly generous owner Patricia Grolet. The cottage is located in Lancie, a small town on the outskirts of Fleurie in the heart of the Beaujolais “Grand Cru” country.
The cottage is much more spacious than the photos indicate with large rooms both upstairs and down. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The beds were the most comfortable we have encountered during our many trips to France. The WiFi was lightening fast and reliable. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. We hit a parch of bad weather so we could not enjoy the pretty garden; however it was lovely to look at from the coziness of the cottage.
The Beaujolais country is a “must visit” for any wine lover. It is beautiful area with delightful people who seem to genuinely enjoy having foreign visitors. Thank you Patricia for making our introduction to your special part of the world a memorable one.
