  • Fun in France
    5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and very nicely furnished. It is only a few miles from all the amenities you might want but has a wonderful country feel. We were also able to easily visit all of the nearby seaside towns. Phillipe and his family were very welcoming. It is a beautiful area of France to visit.

  • Lovely cottage in beautiful area of France

We spent 4 nights at this delightful thatched cottage in the Loire Atlantique, an area that would be a mistake to overlook. We enjoyed our stay immensely - the cottage is in a perfect, central location for exploring the surrounding areas. Claire, the friendly owner, has thought of every single thing you would need for a comfortable stay. We found our cottage spotless, charming, comfortable, and a welcome place to come "home" to after a long day of exploration in this beautiful region. We took a pole-driven boat ride on the 'Marais de Grande Briere' - an interesting, protected marsh area minutes from the cottage. Don't miss nearby Guerande and the surrounding salt marshes and also Kerhinet - a preserved village of thatch-roofed houses. Evening walks in the area were just delightful! We found everyone in this village of Saint-Andre-des-Eaux and surrounding area very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable, shower was roomy with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We would not hesitate in the least to recommend a stay here to anyone considering a stay in the region. You will not be disappointed. It was just fantastic and there is so much to see and do in the area. Merci beaucoup, from Richard, Carol & Cheryl from California
