We spent a lovely week at this property. Gorgeous lake views enough room for all us to spread out. The house was impeccably clean, and the kitchen was honestly stocked with more appliances and dishware than I have at home. The owner was incredibly nice and communicative - responding literally as soon as I would email a question - and setting up a text chain so I could get real time answers to questions when I checked in (not that I needed it, but it was nice to have). The owner had just purchased 2 new paddle boards, and along with the kayaks and quiet Jobs Creek (no boat wake and good for swimming), the kids and we stayed in the water for literally hours! The property itself is relatively close to other homes (full of friendly people, with whom our kids made good friends) but is set back a little so that when you are in the house enjoying the view it is very peaceful.
This place provided for an excellent family vacation. We wanted for nothing...the swimming was shallow and sandy near the shore for the kids and plenty deep off the dock for jumping in. We used the kayaks and paddle board to explore, and we even rented a boat from Sargeant's (only around the bend), which was a highlight of the trip. We chose to sleep in the upstairs queen bedroom because it was lovely with the deck and view. The kids were in the twin beds upstairs and grandparents were in the downstairs king. It worked out great. I love how the bathrooms were all updated, it had everything you would want in terms of entertainment (TV, cable with Xfinity, DVDs, good wifi). The linens (provided) were comfy. The decks (composite) and chairs were all wonderful. Great stay! We will be back.
