My family and I had a great stay at Villa Roja! We were a group of 8 people and fit very comfortably in the house. One of the nicest gestures that the property owners/managers did (John & his brother Tony) was to always be available via text. Tony showed us the house when we arrived and gave us a tour/knowledge about San Juan in person. He was very nice! We really loved the house and thought it was lovely. The main floor does not have air conditioning but I honestly preferred it that way because you actually felt that you were on vacation with the heat- it also was not bothersome because they have two big rotating fans hanging which allow for nice airflow. There was a foosball table, which we thoroughly enjoyed, as well as pingpong and balls for other sports. I thought it was both hilarious and awesome that they had bunch of floaties for the pool, catering to us millennials in the group. My favorite was the avocado float! I love that they had the ones that hold drinks in the pool too. Speaking of the pool, I will admit that it was much smaller than we thought it would be. I am not sure if they list the dimensions of the pool in the listing but I think it is something they really need to do because obviously the images they posted make it seem bigger than it is. Regardless, we enjoyed the pool often and it did the job to cool us down. There are also large beach towels provided. We had two issues in the house throughout our week-long stay- both of which were addressed the same day (leaking sink, water from laundry machine). They are very fast! The only thing I found interesting with the property was that they ask that we do not use regular towels to wipe our make up off because make up apparently does not come off their towels (weird because make up comes up from any other towel). However, they did provide darker color make up towels for each person to use. It can be difficult for every member of your large group to remember this, so make sure to get the insurance at the time of your booking of Villa Roja. We also had a dirty towel left in one of the upstairs rooms, which we did not see until the end of our stay (because we didn't need to use that many towels per person) and although we told the owners about this, they unfortunately blamed us for it. Thankfully, they were able to use the insurance we bought and not charge us. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Villa Roja and would recommend it to any groups!
