The apartment is located within the Old Town. It is spacious with high quality materials used throughout but marred by poor quality workmanship. The balcony is wonderful and provides a near-panoramic view of the Old Town. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Exterior blinds on the windows blocks sunlight
We encountered many major and minor problems with the apartment during our stay but all were quickly resolved by the management company
Music from nearby venues which plays until 4 AM can be heard in the apartment
Upon entering the apartment on the ground level, you must climb a steep and long, non-conforming (narrow treads and risers) staircase to the first floor. On the first floor a narrow spiral staircase leads to the second floor
Uneven floor surfaces on the first and second floor may cause tripping
The sink in the bathroom on the second floor is very small, almost to the point of being unusable
The ceiling in the first-floor bathroom is very low – estimated at under 5 feet 10 inches
We stayed at VillaStella in mid September. We had 2 comfortable bedrooms for the 4 of us, just one bathroom, but we managed just fine. The living room was large and there was a delightful little patio with a table just at the entrance. Loved the privacy of the below the street location. The apartment was well stocked with appliances including a washing machine, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
We were met with a tray of fruit and a bottle of ouzo on the table, a nice touch. Stella’s assistant, Desi, met us when we arrived and helped us find a driver to take us around Rhodes. He was great as well. Stella was responsive to our questions and always responded quickly.
The location was in walking distance to the harbor, Old Town, and the beach. The neighborhood was mostly residential, so was quiet.
We would definitely recommend Villa Stella to anyone. The only negative thing we might note would be the single bathroom, but as we said, it worked for the four of us just fine. Thanks again, Stella!
