Arrived on a Saturday for a two week stay. The contacts by the property manager Sue and lakefront home owner were timely and very helpful. Only a few minor things to tighten up. Couldn’t ask for a more relaxing vacation home. Plenty of room in the main house, and the bunk house was really fun to sleep in. Cool at night and comfortable beds made sleep really restful. The main house master bedroom bed was so comfy. Guests slept like a babies. Kitchen and dining table was useful, with laundry capabilities in the main house, a definite plus. The outside activities were plentiful. From morning kayaking to evening swimming and fishing. Even caught a few. Additionally, a good location to stray out for day trips to Bangor, Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, then New Brunswick. We hit Bar Harbor and Arcadia Nation Park on one of the clearest and calm days I’ve experienced-visiting the area. The New Brunswick trip to St. Andrews was terrific. Had lunch for 5 at the Five Kings (the old train station downtown). A quick walk to The Chocolate Factory and Museum was delightful. Test the chocolates while their. Just a nice place to stay that’s off the beacon path...caught a sunset that was better than my pictures while I was in the Pacific Islands.
The house was great for my mobility challenged parents. The downstairs bedroom and large handicap bathroom suited them well. Nice well kept house. Scarletts father helped with the lobster boil we had. You cant beat Maine Lobster!
