Barbara & Shawn were perfect hosts! The property is located in a beautiful, natural setting with the BX Trail right down the hill. Add to this the baby quails that were brought out in waves by their parents and were no bigger than small pine cones but they grew fast!
The basement unit that we stayed in was beautiful and contained more than we needed from high-end stainless steel appliances to soft, luxurious afghans. Every time I opened a new drawer, I found more extra touches like a first aid kit, cotton swabs, sewing kit, suntan lotion, batteries, and even a fly swatter (which we finally used on a pesky fly that got in because we left the door open!) All the pots and pans that we could possibly need were there but the most valued thing the hosts supplied was the BBQ Grill which we used almost daily. Shawn even had an extra propane tank waiting for us when the old one ran out. The secluded patio was a family hit too and made our own family dinners special. And to top it all off, we had our own washer & dryer!
The unit had 2 bathrooms which were very convenient for us and our own family guests. My son and his wife stayed overnight with us and loved it too! Barbara brought us fresh raspberries from their garden and lettuce & basil from their aquaponics garden. Barbara & Shawn let us tour the aquaponics area also.
Thank you, Barbara & Shawn, for allowing us stay there!
