This lovely apartment just needs a few tweaks and it could be a pure five star experience. It was just renovated and the finishes are tasteful and high end. The space is perfect for a couple or family of three or four and the kitchen is a delight. The location could not be any more excellent - gorgeous sunsets, a quick walk to waterside restaurants and the night market and only about a ten minute walk from the beach. There is a casino across the street but we never even had time to visit it. The apartment is even better in person than the photographs. There are just a few things we would love to see improved. The shower is beautiful and roomy - but the shower head had no hook and one has to hold it in one's hand to shower - if only there was a hook to place the shower head a bit high up I would have given the shower a ten! There is no a/c in the bedroom. We ended up giving the bedroom to the kids and using the foldout living room sleeper couch for my husband and myself and since it's a bigger bed that worked well. It was far too firm for me so we borrowed a small mattress from our friends nearby and I put it on my side of the bed and then I had the best sleep of our trip. The a/c in the living room works well and the apartment has excellent blackout curtains in the living room and bedroom. There were only two pillows in the unit but if that's the case one can get pillows from the management. The sliding glass doors had no handle on the outside so everyone was constantly covering the doors in fingerprints and I therefore was constantly cleaning them because the view is far too precious to be marred by smeary glass. There is a hole behind one of the kitchen cabinet doors where we think a dishwasher used to be and we wish they would put in a new dishwasher. The exterior light was falling off the wall. But overall we had a brilliant stay and would definitely stay in this unit again - as long as I could borrow something to soften the living room bed. Oh: the unit had a fab Nesspresso machine so bring pods! (And shop at Lidl - so affordable and I got cream there for the Nesspresso.) The kitchen is really well equipped and had the best stick blender/mini food prep I've ever used. Do note that parking in the area is near impossible.
