We feel so lucky to have ended out at this cottage for our visit. Sue and Michelle were lovely, the cottage was exactly the right size for two travelers with an excellent kitchen-- we cooked breakfast every morning and a going-away feast with the large cookware set, gas oven/cook top, and the Spar providing a wide range of veg, fresh and prepared meats/fish, and even gluten-free options. Llanfairfechan was the perfect place to launch our tour: we had day trips to Llandudno/Conwy, the Llyn peninsula, Blaenau Ffestiniog/Betws-y-Coed, Anglesey, and of course Llanberis to summit Snowdon. Easy parking on the Promenade, walking distance to the local for nosh and beer, a beautiful view of both mountains and the water as you step outside, and the security of a small village where you can wander without concern. Most crucially, the wifi was very welcome! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope some day to say the same again. Thanks to Sue and Michelle for a relaxing holiday with every element we needed!
This is a secluded, spacious and lovely cottage middle in nature which is, by the way exactly like the pictures on the website. It is private and 1 km from a swimming lake and 20 min walk from the pub. As describes it is a basic cottage with little luxery but good beds.
The dogs love it very much and wouldn't come inside. You can make wunderfull walks directly from the cottage. The dogbeach ad Harlech is just a 20 min. drive. If you want to you can take the Steam train from the stopping place nearby.
The trip to the cottage up the Mountain is adventures but easy to do If you have some confidence in your drivingskills and your car. It is certainly not horrible and we did it in our Posh car as Noelle called our Alfa 159 stationcar.
We are certainly comming back.
BTW. Forget the previous review it is totally not the reality we experienced in early July.
