The apartment is located in a gated community with beautiful garden, very close to the sea beach. There is a grocery store just 2 blocks away. The description of the apartment was accurate (except we were unable to use the kitchen stove- something went wrong with it) and we enjoyed staying there, but the check in was stressful. The apartment owner Mary asked us to arrive before 9 PM, and this added a lot of pressure to our journey from Madrid to Marbella: we took the afternoon train from Madrid, then spent time for car renting at Malaga and barely comply with the time constrains set by the owner. I called our host Fabio several times when we were on the way. We arrived at 9 PM, found a deserted street, and after waiting for more than 30 minutes started looking for a hotel to stay at night. Finally, Fabio arrived and let us in. Parking space in the underground garage was too small for the car that we rented. Fabio helped us to park the car and then left. We were inside the garage when the automatic door started to close and we ended up in complete darkness not knowing how to switch the light or re-open the garage door. Cellphone did not work in the garage, and it took us a while to get out. The lady who came with Fabio quickly showed me the apartment and unlocked the door, but neither she nor Fabio waited till we got inside the apartment with the luggage. When were out of garage it was dark. All houses looked the same, and it took us a long time to find the apartment.
The communication with Fabio was not easy because of the language barrier, but he answered the phone and when we called him the next day he came over to help us. The apartment owner – Mary - did not answer my calls/texting when I was unable to reach Fabio.
